MLD YOGA is a strong "Hatha & Power" based yoga practice incorporating static and flowing asana's to increase strength and flexibility. The class has relaxing meditation music will leave you physically worked and mentally refreshed helping you focus with a feeling of serenity. In this class we will work on a wide range of yoga asana's and yoga styles incorparating meditation and breathing. Each week the class will vary so you will never get bored and meaning you will never miss anything, so you can join at any point. MLD YIN YOGA is a still style of yoga where we usually hold each posture for minimum of 4 - 5 minutes. This stillness aided by the breath and meditation allows the energy to penetrate deeper, which targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised that much in a more active style of yoga. As my students become more experienced we increase the length of time we hold the postures for which equals more energy flow and a increase in long term flexibility. During this practice I guide my students through meditations and challenge emotions. All students should think of this yoga class as working the mind first and allowing the physical aspect to become second! This class will be aided with the use of props to support the body and relaxation music to channel the mind. This class will leave you physically worked and mentally refreshed helping you focus with a feeling of serenity or a deeper emotional connection. Although this class will relax you it is not restorative yoga, this really is a YIN YOGA class. Each week the class will vary so you will never get bored and meaning you will never miss anything and you can join at any point. A regular practice is encouraged so you can see progression in your yin yoga.
MLD YOGA NIDRA is a class where we explore yogic sleep - a state of consciousness between being awake and asleep. The two paths of deep relaxation and mediation come together to form a state of consciousness. This class is suitable for anyone and you can't do it wrong! You just need to be able to lie down in savasana or sit in easy pose for the duration of the class whilst we try to find this consciousness which will take us to our atman (our real/pureiest self beyond the ego). This guided class will enable you to learn about yourself a little more each time you do the practice, reduce stress, promote healthier sleep and general wellbeing.
